Restrict the number of events Java Client processes

Hello,

Is there way for us to limit the number of events that Java Client(4.1) processes for a particular integration?

For example, say we want to limit that only 100 events/min. are processed by Java Client for change notifications even though 300 might be coming in to avoid flooding the system.
