Greetings Folks,

I am trying to implement a requirement which a user will click a link from the email content and his response will be accepted and a webpage will throw a message saying that your response is accepted.

Here are the steps I am trying to get thorugh for it to work and the challenge I have in these steps:

  1. I am creating a email content in Business script along with the link which will say "accept"  or "Reject"
  2. After the email is deliverd to my ID.  I want to click accept or reject link based on what i wnat to do.

1st CASE: if user clicks "accept" link (link-->

http://<System Name>/alarmpoint/process/response.jsp?responseChoice=Accept) here is the challenge the response.jsp is SSO protected so if i as user clicks the link i do not want to login throgh SSO to get the message from page saying "RESPONSE Accepted" ,I should just get the message.

Question:  How can i bypass SSO to get that page me the message or what other techniques i could use to get this function working?    What i should use which xMatters curently has which will solve my issue.  I kind of know that xMatters have done this before.

As currently when user responds "RECD" from an email and send an email, the exhaustive shows the RECD reply recieved, but we want to go away from this as we want user to just click "accept" link and their reply should be recieved.  So please advise what i should do in lieu of SSO being a challenge and is there i can leverage anything which is existing within xMatters container.

2nd CASE : same technique i want to use for reject. --||---

Thanks and Cheers!

Santosh Pol
