We are using Xmatters with HPSM to notify when incidents are assigned to a support team.
Here is the scenario: Within a support team (for example DBA team), we have multiple subteams handling incident based on the nature of the database. So, we may have 10 different subgroups within the DBA team. For the moment, we have to create the 10 groups within HPSM and people needs to know to which team to assign an incident. Not very practical. We would like the supervisor of the team in Xmatters to be able to create the different subteams and assign notification to a specific subteam based on specific criterias like the DB name. This way, we would only have to create one assignment group with HPSM and delegate the responsibilty of managing the subteams to the team supervisor. I was told that is not possible?
