I am configuring GSM USB modem (multitech systems usb gsm_gprs wireless modem) in AlarmPoint 4.1.0 on Windows Server Ent 2008 SP2.
First I have configured GSM Device Engine in Nodes & Device Engine.
Initially I have used default settings for GSM device. Only added COM3 in Serial Port parameter.
Notification Polling: 10 sec.
Log Level: Normal (Warn)
Session Timeout: -1 sec.
Carrier Wait time: 120 sec.
Response Wait time: 2 sec.
Serial Port: COM3
Init String: AT&F
Baud Rate: 115200
Databits: 8
Stop Bits: 1
Parity: NONE
Flow Control: HARDWARE
Sim Pin:
Mode: PDU
Polling Interval: 13
and started device engine. Then I have configured Protocol Provider with default setting and User Service Provider with device types text phone device.
With this I have set a text phone device for myself and try to validate it. But found an error in log file.
Recovarable transport failed for device engine GSM.
Then stopped the device engine and set the GSM device engine paramaters as per 'Known Good Configurations' (Wavecom Fastrack GO) given in AlarmPoint installation guide.
Start the device engine and retested.
Still getting same error.
